CitySquash’s Summer Program enrolls almost all of our 200 students, ranging in age from 7 to 22.
CitySquash hosts an all-day five-week summer program at Fordham University for our elementary school students, middle school students and high school team members in the Bronx. The camp combines academics, squash, travel and culture. CitySquash also provides our high school students with college prep support throughout the summer.
Most of our team members attend overnight squash, academic or wilderness camps during the summer. The squash camps most frequently take place at Northeastern colleges, such as Dartmouth, Princeton, Wesleyan and the Naval Academy. The academic programs take place at schools such as Rye Country Day, Episcopal High School and Westover. Camp Herrlich in Patterson, New York, hosts many CitySquash team members every summer for weeklong camps. Camp Timber Tops and the Lake Owego Camp, both located in Greeley, PA, also host CitySquash students over the summer.
Through our own Summer Match program, CitySquash sends team members to live with host families outside the city for weekends or longer. Summer Match pairings have taken place in New Hampshire, Connecticut, Massachusetts and South Carolina.
We provide our high school and college students with the opportunity to explore their career interests and find gainful employment. Students are partnered with organizations in industries ranging from financial services to healthcare for paid internships, or they are granted jobs with CitySquash itself. The program fosters personal and professional growth and ensures that our high school and college students are active and engaged during the summer and the school year.
